Impulse Buy

I saw these at Target today and couldn't pass them up. They have more yellow and purple in them then the picture shows. But either way, they are super cute :)

Announcing...ANDREA REGIS LPN

Every since I can remember, my mom has told me that when she grows up, she wants to be a nurse. I would laugh and remind her that she was already grown up. She would in turn remind me she wasn't quite done yet. Then last year, my mom applied for nursing school and was admitted. She worked so hard and often studied late into the night or early in the morning. She is the most dedicated student I know. Then last night, my mom graduated from her nursing school as an LPN. I couldn't be more proud of her. Not only did she follow her dreams, but she did so while juggling 5 kids, a church calling, and everything else in our crazy lives. So, congratulations Mommy! And good luck with the RN program! You will be the best nurse out there, I should know, you practiced on me for 17 years!

Ipod

Ok, so in the last post I mentioned how I do not need those certain items to be happy (like clothes, cars, and ipods), but it doesn't hurt right? Today, I was surprised with a new ipod when I got home from school! Although I still agree that we don't need these objects to be happy, I'm not going to lie that I wasn't super excited when I got it. Its bright yellow and very shiny! I'm, so excited to play with my new toy :)

The Simple Things

It sometimes becomes easy to forget the little things in life when everything in the world is becoming bigger, faster, and better. I sometimes get caught up in what's new or considered best. Too often I don't remember that being happy doesn't take expensive clothes, the newest ipod, or a shiny car. Happiness comes from the simple things in life that make you smile. These are just some of the little things in life that make me smile

A big bowl of ice cream
Getting the mail
Wearing clothes straight from the dryer
Paying with exact change
Receiving a thank you card
Making someone laugh
Sunny days
Getting the answer right on the first time on my calculus homework
Hot cocoa and Thin Mints (thanks Lisa)
Sunday naps
Hugs
No Homework
Walking barefoot in the summer
Quarter Machines
Finishing a good book
Wearing my Snuggie
Pretty Sunsets
Chocolate Milk
Singing to the Radio
A sincere compliment

A Real Man

Lately Thomas has been growing like crazy. No longer is he my little brother, but now my younger brother as he a full 2 inches taller than me, making me the shortest in the family. Then the other day I saw something that changed my life...Thomas was shaving!! I couldn't believe it; little Tommy was growing up! I now officially feel old, and I'm only 17!

I'm Back!

Wow, it's been a while. I have meant to post but it seems life couldn't get any busier, with AP classes, volleyball, and family it feels like I have had no down time lately. Well, that's not completely true, I just spent the last week in Las Vegas for Spring Break! But before Spring Break my life was pretty crazy. So I'm not just back to the blogging world, but also to Utah (it's freezing!).

Spring Break was fantastic! It was sunny and warm, relaxing, and I got to pick up a much needed tan :) We went down Friday right after school and came back yesterday, but if I had it my way I would still be there. By we I mean, my siblings Emily and Thomas, cousins Wade and Denali, and some of Wade's friends Stevo and Jordan. The girls all stayed at my Mutti and Papa's house while the boys were at my Auntie Terri's house only a couple houses away. Although they got the big TV, we got the pool...I think the girls won that one. My grandparents and aunt were super generous and made our vacation perfect.

We just did to many things to write about all of them, but some of the highlights of the week were:
Riding the New York New York roller coaster
Visiting the M&M factory
Watching Conference
Easter Dinner at my mom's cousin's, Aunt Cindy, house
Coloring Easter Eggs
Clash of the Titans and Alice in Wonderland (neither movie was too great but it was fun, plus we were the only ones in the theater during Alice in Wonderland!)
Swimming at the Cancun
Teaching my Papa how to use facebook :)
Sun bathing
Belagio Fountains
Waxing the boys' hairy chests
Metro Pizza, In and Out

Here are a few pictures (there are many many more)
