To quote the famous Mrs. Ball, "I'm sleepy time zoo"
Here I am at the library trying to be a good student but my eyes wont seem to cooperate. They droop, feel heavy, and any second they'll be closed for good. My only solution is to blog. It's slightly more interesting than my writing and rhetoric textbook. Not that I don't enjoy reading about how to correctly identify your audience when writing a opinion editorial. Two days into college and I already have 116 pages (yeah I counted) of reading, a writing assignment and two quizzes...yuck.
As terrible as I'm making this sound, I actually am loving college so far. My classes are interesting. My professors competent and intriguing. The students participate and engage in the discussions. Yeah compared to high school this is amazing!!
Well wish me luck, I'm off to tackle the section "getting on the same page with rhetoric"...I'm gonna need it!

BYU, FOL, NSO
Here at BYU there are abbreviations everywhere!! JSB, MOA(said mo-uh), RM, NSO, SWKT(said swicket),FOL, and of course BYU!! Seriously its like a different language.
Lets go back to Monday. I went to FOL up in Aspen Grove. It was such a good experience and I met so many amazing people. I was in Group 30 and we named ourselves the Blue Ukes because our assigned color was blue and one of my group leaders was constantly playing his ukulele. I loved it! It was like having background music wherever we went! The three days we were there were packed full of fun activities like a ropes course, a dance, field games, devotionals, swimming, classes, and group activities. It was the perfect way to start off my BYU experience. I wish I took more pictures but here's what I got...
When I got back on Wednesday my mom and dad came down and helped me move in. After I was all settled in we went grocery shopping and out for a late lunch. I said bye to the parents and headed off to a dance with my roomie Brianna. We met tons of new people and had a lot of fun.
The last few days I had NSO, which is new student orientation. We split into Y groups and with our Y leaders toured campus, played games, went to devotionals, and had lots of information crammed into us. And last night to finish off the week we had a dance/party. Its been so crazy the last few days I didn't take any pictures. But here are some pictures via google of my favorite buildings on campus so far.

Classes start tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed that I don't get lost or do something embarrassing! Good luck to all my friends that will be starting their classes her or up at USU!!

Off I Go!!!
I cannot believe this day has finally come. I'm all packed up and ready to leave bright and early tomorrow. Even though I'm moving down to BYU, my adventure actually will start in Aspen Grove with a camp called Foundations of Leadership. I'll be there for 3 days before I actually stay in my new place. Time seemed to be going so slow as I've been waiting for this day to come but now looking back it really flew on by.
So farewell Bountiful, you've been so good to me! Goodbye 20th ward and BHS! Thanks for memories, lessons learned, and friends I'll never forget.

2 days....
I'm pretty sure I've had this conversation at least 50 times
Person: When are you leaving for college
Me: The 22nd
Person: BYU right?
Me: Yup
Person: Are you excited?
Me: Yeah I can hardly wait
Person: You'll be great!
Me: Thanks
And guess what? I'm not sick of it! I really am so excited and can hardly wait! It still feels very surreal and the whole college thing probably wont hit me until I watch my mom drive away on Monday.
Also I said bye to Jessica this morning. It was awful. I was headed to work and stopped by just for a few seconds and in order not to cry I avoided eye contact and didn't say anything too personal. I kinda feel bad but then again we'll probably just skype later and ball our eyes out or something...

this is for you daddy
Alright so I've been a slacker and I apologize. Thanks dad for reminding me daily that I haven't posted. So this ones for you!!
Where to start?? I guess I'll just fill you in on all the trips I've taken this summer and go from there.
First off was my senior trip to Park City with my favorite people. Thanks to the parents for letting us use the timeshare :) It was so relaxing and wonderful. We spent the week eating delicious food, hangin by the pool, shopping, and just having fun. It was so nice to spend time all together before we all head off in our separate directions for college.
Straight from Park City, Jessica and I went to Provo for the Stadium of Fire concert with David Archuleta and Brad Paisley. We spend the night at Amy and Garrett's before finally heading home.
Then McCall and I headed down to St. George for a few days. We stayed at her house there just he two of us which made me feel all grown up! We went to the Harry Potter 7.2 midnight showing...ahhh it was fabulous. Definitely worth the 3 hours just sitting the the theater, plus we made awesome shirts :) On our last night the rest of her family joined us. We went to dinner at the Anasazi where you get to cook your meat on these hot bricks. Then we went at explored the narrows with her little brother Cayson and had lots of fun.
Next I got to head down to the Fish Lake with mom. It was fun just having some one on one time with her at the cabin. The weather was perfect as was the company :) One day we drove down to Capital Reef and hiked. It was fun but incredibly hot, but it was okay because we cooled off with some ice cream, which I happen to like kinda a lot.
Then my family went camping up in American Fork Canyon. I had to work but was able to come spend the night and one day with them. We hiked up to Silver Lake. It was only a little over 2 miles but it went straight up! It was pretty steep which meant that the way down was a little difficult for one who has the "dilley grace". So I ended up falling down the mountain and have some nice marks to show for it.
My cousins went to Goblin Valley for a few days which is one of my favorite places to hike and luckily they let me tag along. We went through the slot canyons down there and did a bunch of rock scrambling. It had rained pretty hard right before we got there which resulted in a lot of water in the canyons. It turned out to be a good thing though because the pooled water just added to the challenge and when we got too hot we just jumped right in to cool off :)
Just yesterday I got back from a backpacking trip to notch lake with my dad. We went with Jessica's family and another family from our ward. My dad just fished his heart out which was fine with me because it let me catch up on my sleep.
Now I'm up in Park City again, this time with my family for a few days. Its the perfect way to end the summer right before I head off to school (8 days!!!!)
oh and I drove down to Provo with Jessica today for a our good friend David's farewell (good luck elder!! japan is lucky to have you!)
Every spare moment is spent working, playing with friends (old and new), buying things for college...it is soo expensive, and procrastinating packing for my move to BYU.
